I just came here looking to see if anyone else was having problems with TD Auto Finance because right now I am FUMING. I'm actually shaking as I type this.

I bought my car in 2011 and put my account on auto-pay. Something happened around 2012 and my auto-pay was deactivated. As soon as I saw the error, I re-enabled my auto-pay and went on with my business. Fast-forward 4 years when I received a letter from TD auto finance saying I owed $1,200 in late fees!

During those 4 years I never received a call, a letter, nothing. I called TD Auto Finance and received the absolute worst customer service and was told TOO BAD you need to pay or else you don't receive your title. I called a few days letter and was surprisingly told that yes, they made a mistake and you won't need to pay anything. This morning I received a letter saying I still owed the money and so I called back again and, again, received the worst customer service ever.

I can't afford $1200.

The car is paid off so now they're holding me hostage. I don't know what to do!

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Monetary Loss: $1000.

Preferred solution: Price reduction.

Td Auto Finance Cons: Very poor customer service, Rude employees, Poor communication.

Let me tell you about my experience. I,have a loan through them.

Got in an accident in January. My insurance company totaled the car in 2 days and is ready to pay,TD off. They need a letter of promise from TD which after 5 weeks has STILL not been sent to my insurance company. I can't get a new car because the old loan is still on my credit report.

Finally got the two to get things moving, and a day later, their collections department calls me and wants to know where my missing monthly payment is and they are changing me late fees. Stupid *** They are the ones holding up getting paid off and they still think I'm sending them payments? I,don't think so.

I,don't care what percentage loan they offer you. Don't do business with these frauds!

I am going through A similar event.

Am on autopay, TD Auto finance deducted my payment every month.

Never knew, it was being considered as a late payment and a late fee was charge every month (which they also automatically withdrawn).

Almost a year later, the only reason I found out was because I called to make a phone payment.

The representatives are extremely rude and I donโ€™t see the need for their unprofessional. Instead of helping this matter, they seemed bother to even take my call.

I wish I never dealt with this bank.

I paid respectfully each month as my contract obligated me to... but this company is shady and the majority of the reps are horribly trained and lack professionalism.

Debra,

I submitted my claim to the BBB and it reached their resolution center and I ended up getting a break. Hopefully you do the same because calling their support center gets you no where.

Good luck!

You had auto pay which means your payment came out of your checking account automatically. By your own admission here, YOU didn't even bother to look at your checking account to see if it was being done on the correct day!

I'll bet you don't even keep a check register nor do you even balance your account either! Of course, it's all their fault, right???

My daily budget planner and checks are done on a daily basis.

My Td Auto Finance Statements never stated late fees.

As a matter of fact, it just shows every month having the monthly payment removed.

Thank you for input though.
