I have financed a lot of vehicles over the years and I have never experienced such a terrible customer service experience as I have with TD Auto finance. They are rude and incompetent...

Another thing to note of importance, they take an absorbent amount of time to post electronic payments to your account.

These payments are immediate. If you send a check, expect 2 weeks before it posts. I strongly believe they do this on purpose for the extra interest it accrues during the delayed posting.

I purchased my current truck in August 2023, (6 months ago) and the dealer financed it with TD auto finance. I immediately set up my payments to pay automatically with my bank and I always remain one payment ahead throughout a car loan.

Two payments in, my bank calls me and tells me TD cancelled my auto car payment.

I called TD to find out why, that alone was a fiasco. It took me nearly an hour to get a human on the phone. Once I actually got a person on the phone, she could have verified my identity with a couple questions but no, she literally asked me every little detail about my loan, loan amount, yr make and model of truck, name, address, phone number, birthday, SS number, email address, where I work, work number, last 6 of VIN number, including the date I bought the truck before she would even talk to me. It was absolutely ridiculous.

I asked her why they cancelled my auto car payment, she was rude and insisted they had not cancelled it.

She was no help. She blamed it on my bank and rudely said, "is that all?" I tried to explain that I just wanted to figure out what happened so it doesn't happen again. She rudely insisted TD did not cancel it and she ended the call.

I set up the auto payment with my bank again. Two payments later my bank calls and said TD cancelled the auto payment again.

I asked my bank to please check if it's not something internal with them and my branch manager showed me the screen which showed TD cancelled the auto payments from their end electronically.

I called TD again and again went through all that ID verification nonsense all over again to get another very rude representative who insisted they didn't cancel it. Then she went on to tell me that I need to add my checking info to my account on their website and use THEIR bill pay for a nominal monthly fee. I declined and told her my bank doesn't charge me to pay bills and her response was " then your bill pay will keep getting cancelled". I was literally taken back by her rudeness.

On that note, we ended the call.

At that point, I was done with TD Auto finance and going to refinance the loan over to my credit Union and that's what I did.

That to turned into a fiasco. My CU can see when they accepted the payoff funds, and they have had the payoff funds for a week and still not posted the payoff to my account nor released the lien yet.

Avoid TD auto finance at all costs. They are horrible in every aspect.

We are consumers. We have choices.

If you get bad service from a business, don't use that business.

Move on to a business that appreciates you. That's what I did.

I made a payment that I owed. This morning I saw TD Bank took another payment that I did not authorize now I get to pay 30.00 for a stop payment to reverse the pending charge!!!

My experience was horrible. I been on hold and still on hold for over an hour and thirty minutes and no one has attended me yet. I am calling them to schedule a pick up of my vehicle and instead of them pursuing me for the car its me pursuing them time and time again. Its crazy because I am the one that keeps calling and no one has come to aid time and time again its the worst service I ever had.

It required multiple attempts to reach a reasonable person on the phone to address my requirement. The African guy was a total pisser! On the third attempt to got a rational human and lucked out. It has been almost a month and still nothing has happened on a function that you do Every month! This is So ridiculous

Lack of communication

They are absolutely impossible to get in contact with. Everytime I call I end up on hold for 40 minutes or more and the system disconnects on me. It has been weeks since I could contact anyone. I'm trying to pay off my vehicle and give them money, but apparently they dont want it.

Collection, close account keep reporting new balance

I got my car repossessed 7 years ago. TD sold the car, made 80% money back, reporting on a close account a balance updated every month on a CLOSED ACCOUNT???

Just to destroy my credit all the way to the end.

TD FINANCE IS THE WORST CHAISTER EVER !

You still owe the other 20% YOU agreed to pay. This is why your credit is being affected. Did you think you could just walk away from your debt?

You are judging not knowing the facts, at the time I was working as an HVAC tech, fell from the roof trough a glass veranda, I was out of work for 18 months. I call the TD cs, asked them, no beg them to refinance the loan on a longer term to be able to fulfill my obligations.

NO!!! was their only answer! So, I gave the Lexus, they auctioned it and of course got sold for less, again I contact them and proposed to get a loan to pay for the difference, same answer NO again. Now that I'm back on my feet's and run a company with a large fleet, they will never have my business again.

TD is the epitome of an horror and poor managed company! Next time, do not judge the others not knowing the facts.

Here's the solution: Get out your contract and find the clause where it says you don't need to make payments if you're not working. Copy it here. Please take as much space as you need here so we can all read it.

Purchased a Toyota Corolla, have account number but can not sign up for online pay from my Bank. Need statement with closing date, due date, address to mail check, slip to enclose with payment. Name, write on the check. Simple the normal thing received all the time from credit cards etc.

Awful customer service

I have been trying to resolve a complaint but I get stonewalled and sent in circles with no one trying to assist me the customer since 2017. They must only care about how to get people to take out a loan and they're not interested in helping you when you get close to paying off the loan. They seem to want to mess up your credit rating by lying about your paying of your bill. Faylene Faison
